A Sikh sings in joy. He has been blessed with Naam and has received Darshan. The Lord now dwells in his heart.

My eyes have been purified by His Darshan, and I bow my forehead in reverence, touching the dust of His Feet; with relish and joy, I sing the Praises of the Lord who now abides in my heart.

“Netar puneet bhaye Daras pekhay mathay bharo rawaal; rass rass gunn gavho Thakur ke mere hirday basso Gopal.”

You are my Merciful Protector Lord; O Handsome, Wise, Infinite Father, God, please bless me with Your Grace.

“Tum to Rakhanhaar Dyaal; Sundar Sugarh Beantt Pita Prabh hoho Prabhu Kirpaal.” (rahao).

O Lord of Supreme Bliss and Joyous Form, Your Words (Gurbani) are Incomparably Beautiful and Blissful of Taste; Nanak has enshrined the Feet within (Bani), and tied the Shabads of the Satguru with himself.

“Maha Anand Manggal Roop Tumre Bachan Anoop Rasaal; hirday Charan Shabad Satgur ke Nanak bandhiyo paal.”
