SGGS Angg 4001/401

Raag Assa M.5.

In this Shabad, Guru Ji tells us we should not worry about good or bad omens. We should not rely on astrologers, astronomical charts, nor harbor superstitions. Some fear a sneeze. Some take it as a bad omen if they see a black cat or an upturned broom.

Our focus should be to Sing Praises of the Lord. As you Sing His Praises, in His Kindness, He Protects you and removes all obstacles.

Naam is above all charities and penances. God is the Architect of your destiny, the Karam Bidhata. Hence, when we are undergoing any stressful period, we must remember that dukh and sukh are given by Him. Put aside all other methods, just remember Him with Love and Sing His Praises. He will take you out of all difficult times.
