Raag Bihagara

Bihagre Ki Vaar Mehla 4, has 21 pauris.

This is pauri no 17. The central theme of all the pauris in this Vaar is that God, Nirankar Ji is the Creator, the Doer, the Life Force in all, the Destroyer, the Protector and Savior of His Saints.

The Sloks in the Vaar centre around sewa. The gurmukhs do sewa of Naam, Satguru, Nirankar, and are blessed ones. The manmukhs do sewa in haumai, do sewa of maya moh, and suffer terrible miseries.

This pauri no. 17 starts with the Satguru telling us what happens when the Lord gives His Grace. He takes over and recites the True Name Himself.

“Ja Aap kirpal hovay mera Suami ta Aapna Naao Har Aap japaavhe.”

He leads you to Meet the Satguru (Shabad), which results in peace and such sewaks become Pleasing to the Lord.

“Aape Satgur Mel sukh devay Aapna sewak Aap Har bhaave.”

He Himself preserves the honor of His sewaks, and causes others to fall at the feet of His Saints.

“Aapnia sewaka ki Aap paij rakhe Aapnia bhagtan ki pairi paavhe.”

Dharam Raj (who takes lekha) is a creation of the Lord. He does not go near the humble servants of the Lord (to take lekha).

One who is dear to the Lord, is dear to all; all others come and go in vain.

“Jo Har ka pyara so sabhna ka pyara horh keti chakh chakh aavhe jaavhe.”
