Raag Gauree Bhagat Kabeer (Kabir) Ji.

Bhagat Ji tells us the relish and exquisite taste of the Lord’s Name is so overwhelmingly sweet, that all other tastes pale in comparison.

O my mind even if you (find joy to) carry someone else’s burden, they will still not belong to you; this world is transitory like birds perched on a tree.

“Re mann tero ko nahi khich leh jinn bhaar; birkh basero pankh ko taiso eh sansaar.”

I have drunk in the sublime essence of the Lord; with this relish I have forgotten all other tastes.

“Raam rass piya re; jeh rass bissar gaye rass aurr.” (rahao).

What is the point of weeping at the death of others when we ourselves are not permanent?; whoever is born must die, it is only the witch of misery which cries out.

“Aurr moye kya royieh jao aapa thirr na rahaye; jo upjay so binnas hai dukh kar rovay balaaiye.”

The consciousness (liv), gets re-absorbed into the Source from where we came by drinking in the essence of Nectar (Naam); Kabir says, my heart is filled with loving remembrance of the Lord.

“Jeh ki upjee teh rachi peevat mardan laag; kahe Kabir chit chetiya Raam simar bairaag.”
