Raag Maroo (Maru) M.1.

A jeev isteri drenched with love for her Husband Lord decides to share some news of her Beloved with her friends. But they are puffed up with pride. She then decides to go deep within herself and talk to her inner self.

O my friends, so puffed up with pride; listen to this delightful Story about the Husband Lord.

“Sakhi saheli garab gaheli; sun Saho ki eik baat suheli.”

She has reservations and decides to go deep within herself.

Who can I tell about my pain mother?; without the Lord my being cannot survive O my mother.

“Jo mai bedhan sa kis aakhan mayi; Har bin jio na reh kaise rakhan mayi.”(rahao).

I feel dejected and miserable as a discarded wife; having lost her youth and vitality the bride regrets.

“Hao duhagan khari ranjani; gaya so jobhan dhan pachotani.”

My Wise Lord and Master, You preside over my head; I serve You as Your humble servant.

“Tu Dana Sahib sirr mera; khijmat kari jan banda Tera.”

In humility Nanak says, this is my real concern; without Seeing Him how can I maintain my love for Him.

“Bhannat Nanak andesa eihee; bin Darshan kaise ravho Sanehi.”
