Raag Gujri

Pauri no. 18 Gujri ki Vaar M.5

A Sikh who has been blessed with gyan anjann by the Satguru, now sings Praises of God.

As is ordained by You, so do things happen; I go and stand wherever You choose to keep me.

“Jio jio Tera Hukam tivay tiyo hovna; jeh jeh rakhe Aap teh jahe khadovna.”

My evil mindedness is washed away by the love of Your Name; by continually reciting the Name (Attributes) of the Formless Lord, my doubts and fears are removed.

“Naam Tere ke rang durmatt dhovna; jap jap Tudh Nirankar bharam bhao khovna.”

Those who are lovingly attuned to You are not yoked into reincarnation; inwardly and outwardly they behold the One Lord with their eyes.

“Jo Tere rang ratte se jonh na jovhna; antar bahar Eik nain alovhna.”

Those who recognize (understand) Your Hukam do not ever weep; Nanak says, by Your Grace they sew Your Name into their minds.

“Jinni pechata Khasam tin kade na rovhna; Naoo Nanak bakhshish mann mahe parovhna.”
