Raag Raamkali – hagat Kabeer (Kabir) Ji.

Bhagat Ji shares some experiences about Himself.

I honour the Saints and punished the wicked; that is my duty as God’s Enforcement Officer; Night and day I wash Your Feet using my hair as a Chaur to respectfully whisk over You. (I engage in Your sewa in utter humility).

“Santa maano duta daano eh kotwari meri; divas rein Tere Paao paloso kesh chavar kar feri”

Lord, I am a mere dog at Your Court; I open my snout and bark (my needs). Guru Nanak Dev Ji similarly says “bhaunka is tann tayee” – I bark for the needs of my body. (Ang 795).

“Ham kukkar tere Darbar; bhaunkay aage badan pasaar” (rahao).

In my past lives too, I served You. Now this relationship cannot be severed. The Celestial Sound Current is heard at Your Door; Your Insignia is stamped upon my forehead.

“Purab janam ham Tumre sewak ab to mitiya na jayee; Tere Duarey dhun sahaj ki mathey mere dagayee.”

Those with Your Insignia (nishaan, parvangee), fight bravely in all battles; those without Your Brand (Bani, Naam) will run away from battles. (Maroo M.5. ” jo bhaggey so joni firnaa”-Ang 1019); If it is a true saint who values devotional worship of God, the Lord places Him in His Treasury.

“Daggay hoye so rann me jhujay bin daggay bhag jayee; Sadhu hoye so bhagat pechaney Har leiye khajaney payee.”

In this building (body), there is a chamber (mind); by reflection (on Bani), one gets access to the Supreme Chamber (Daswa Dwar). The Guru blessed Kabir with a blessed Commodity (Naam), saying “Take It and cherish It.”

“Kothre me kothree Param kothee bichaar; Gur dinni Basst Kabir ko levho Basst samaar.”

Kabir gives It to the world but only he who has great destiny written on his forehead receives It; Permanent is the Divine Union of one who receives this Ambrosial Essence.”

“Kabir diyee Bastt sansar ko linni jis mastak bhaag; Amrit rass jin paaya thirr ta ka suhaag.”
