Raag Ramkali M.3 Anand  – Pauri 34.

In pauri no 1, the Sikh meets the Satguru. “Anand bheya meri maaye Satgur mai paaya.”

Upon meeting the Satguru, the Sikh is given Divine Advice as to how he can receive inner Anand – bliss. He is told this, his body is useless if his mind is not attuned to God within himself.
“Sachi livhe bin deh nimanee.”

He must rid himself of moh. “Andro jin ka moh tutta tin ka Shabad Sache saeareiya.”

We tend to become engrossed with our families. We must do our worldly duties, but learn to slowly detach as, “eh kotumb tu jo dekhda chale nahi tere naaley.”

The Sikh is warned against being bemukh in pauri 22 and is warned of the dangers of maya in pauri 29.

In this manner, the Sikh is readied for Anand Union which is described in the last pauri – 40. “Anand sunho vadbhagiyo saggal manorath puray; Parbrahm Prabh paaya utray saggal visuray.”

In pauri 34 – the Sikh has been fine tuned and transformed so much by the Guru (Shabad), that he senses the Lord is about to Grant His Mercy, abide in his mind always, and manifest Himself.

The Sikh says he has joy in his mind as he hears of God’s coming; he tells his satsangis to sing Praises of the Lord, and he knows his inner home has now become transformed into a Temple of God.

“Mann chaoo bheya Prabh aagam suneya; Har manggal gaavo sakhi greh mandir baneya.”

Let us sing Praises daily O my companions, and we shall be saved from sorrow and suffering; blessed is the day I am attached to my Guru’s Feet (Bani), and recite the Name of my Husband Lord.

“Har gavho manggal nit sakhiye sogh dukh na viaapey: Gur Charan laage din subhage aapna Pir jaape.”

Through the Guru’s Shabads I have been blessed to know (hear) the Unstruct Sound Current, and I relish the sublime essence of the Lord’s Name; Nanak says, the Lord Himself, the Doer and Cause of Causes met me.

“Anhatt Bani Gur Shabad jaani Har Naam Har rass bhogo; kahe Nanak Prabh Aap miliya Karan Kaaran Jogho.”
