This Shantt has 4 padas. This is the 4th (final) pada. In this pada, a Sikh expresses relief that he has been saved.

I was unworthy, but He saved me on account of (my Sharan in) the Saints (Guru); the True Guru (Shabad) covered all my sinful faults.

“Nirgun raakh liya Santan ka sadka; Satgur dhaak liya mohe paapi parda.”

My Lord is the One who has covered (my sins) for me. He is the Giver of peace, my soul and very life itself; my Lord and Master is Imperishable, Eternal and the Perfect Creator, the Architect of Destiny .

“Dhaakanhare Prabhu hamare jee pran Sukhdatey ; Abhinasi Abhigatt Suami Puran Purakh Bidhatey.”

Your Praises can never be (adequately) described, who can say anything about Your beginnings?; slave Nanak is a sacrifice to the one who blesses him with the Lord’s Name, even for an instant.

“Ustat kahen na jaaye Tumari kaun kahe Tu kadh ka; Nanak daas ta ke balihari milhe Naam Har nimka.”
