Raag Dhanaasree M.5
A Sikh who has been blessed with wisdom by the Satguru, now pleads for the Gift of Naam. He is aware Naam will fulfill all his desires.
I beg for this one Gift from the Lord; may all my desires be fulfilled by meditating upon Your Name.
“Maango Raam te eik Daan; saggal manorath puran hovay simro Tumra Naam.” (rahao).
May Your Feet (Bani) abide in my heart, and I find holy company; may my mind not be touched by the fires of sorrow, and may I sing Your Glorious Praises twenty four hours a day.
“Charan Tumare hirday vassay Santan ka sang pavho; sogh aggan me mann na viapey aath pahar gunn gaavho.”
May I serve the Lord and recite His Name with childlike enthusiasm, in my youth and old age; Nanak says, one who is drenched with Love for God, is not marked for reincarnation again.
“Svasst bivastha Har ki sewa madiyant Prabh jaapan; Nanak rang lagga Parmeshar bahurh janam na chappan.”
