A jeev isteri sings Praises of God, and shares some of her experiences on the Path.

The Lord, whose maid servant I am, is the Highest of all; all things big and small, belong to Him

“Ja Prabh ki hao cheruli so sabh te uchaa; sabh kich Ta ka kandiye thora aur muchaa.”

I regard my soul, breath of life, and all my wealth as belonging to my Lord Master; through His Name I became radiant, I am known as His slave.

“Jee pran mera dhano Sahib ki maneeya; Naam jisse ke ujlee Tis dasee ganeeya.” (rahao).

You are Carefree, the Embodiment of Bliss. Your Name is a Gem, a Diamond; one who has You as her Master, is satiated, satisfied and happy forever.

“Veparvah anand meh Naoo manak heera; rajji dhayee sada sukh ja ka Tu Meera.”

O my friends and fellow maidens, I wish to stress this good understanding; serve the Saints lovingly, and find the Treasure of the Lord.

“Sakhi saheri sang ki somatt dhrirhavho; sevho Sadhu bhao karr tao Nidh Har paavho.”

All are servants of the Master and claim Him as their own; Nanak says, (despite all claims), she alone who is decorated (with Naam) by Him lives happily.

“Saglee dasee Thakurey sabh kehtee mera; jisay shingarey Nanaka tis sukhey basera.”
