A Sikh has been blessed with Gur Parsad, and has been gifted with “danaa sirr daan”- Naam Daan. He recounts his blessed experiences.
Firstly, the pains of the body vanished; the mind became totally peaceful; in His Grace, the Guru gifted me with Naam; I am a sacrifice (eternally grateful) to the Satguru.
“Prithme mitiya tann ka dukh; mann saggal ko hova sukh; kar kirpa Gur dinno Naoo; bal bal tis Satgur ko jaoo.”
I have merged with the Perfect Guru (Shabad) O my brothers; all illness, sorrows and sufferings were dispelled in the Sanctuary of the True Guru (Shabad).
“Gur Pura paiyo mere bhai; rogh sogh sabh dukh binasey Satgur ki Sharnayi.” (rahao).
The Feet of the Guru (Bani) abide within my heart; I received all the fruits of my heart’s desires; the fires (of greed) were extinguished and I became totally peaceful; all these were Gifts given by the Guru in His Grace.
“Gur ke Charan hirday vasaiye; mann chintatt saggle falh paaiye; aggan bujhi sabh hoyi shaant; kar kirpa Gur kinni daat.”
The Guru gave Shelter to the shelterless; the Guru showered honor upon the wretched; the Guru shattered the bonds and saved His servant; my tongue tasted the relish of Ambrosial Bani.
“Nithave ko Gur dinno thaan; nimane ko Gur kinno maan; bandhan kaat sewak kar rakhe; Amrit Bani rasna chakhe.”
It is my great good fortune that I adore the Guru’s Feet (Bani); I forsook everything and received the Lord’s Sanctuary; that humble being upon whom Guru (Shabad) Nanak Grants His Mercy, is enraptured forever.
“Vadde bhag pooj Gur Charna; saggal tyaag payee Prabh Sharna; Gur Nanak ja ko bheya Dyala; so jann hova sada nihala.”
