Raag Gauree – Slok M.4. From Gauri Ki Vaar M.4

This Vaar speaks of the Glory of the Satguru. Some historical instances are given in the Vaar about nindaks and dokhis of Guru Ghar, and the misery they have to endure when they try to hurt the Satguru in any way. God Himself instantly acts to preserve the honor and dignity of the Satgurus. Guru Ramdas Ji starts by telling us about the nature of the Satguru.

(The 10 Satgurus were in humam form and were “janam maran dohu me nahi jan parupakari aaye.” – SGGS Ang 749). As the Satgurus leave their human body, the Satgurus are
“Satgur mera sada sada na aave na jaaye; oh Abhinasi Purakh hai sabh me rehiya samaaiye”- Ang 758).

(The Shabad is the Immortal Form of the Satguru. “Bani Guru, Guru hai Bani vich Bani Amrit sarey..”- Ang 982).

The Slok says.

The Satguru is the True Giver (Data) and is always Compassionate; the Satguru has no hatred within him, and beholds the One Lord in everyone.

“Satgur Data Dyal hai jis nu Dya sada hoye; Satgur andro Nirvair hai sabh dekhay Brahm Eik soye.”

Anyone who directs hate against the One without hate, shall never find fulfillment within himself; The True Guru wishes well for everyone, how can anything bad happen to him?.

“Nivaira naal je vair chalayinde tin vicho tistiya na koye; Satgur sabna da bhalla manayinda tis da bura kyo hoye.”

With whatever wishes one goes towards the Satguru, so are the rewards he receives; Nanak says, the Creator Lord knows everything, and nothing is hidden from Him.

“Satgur nu jeha ko ichda teha falh paaye koye; Nanak Karta sabh kich jaanda jidu kich gujja na hoye.”
