Raag Sorath M.5

Guru Ji expresses a Shabad in shukrana of God.

Where God Himself stands in to resolve your troubles, no misery can touch even a strand of hair on your head; the Guru cleaned me thoroughly; reciting the Lord’s Name, my sins were erased.

“Vich Karta Purakh khalova; vaal na vinga hova; majjan Gur aanda raasey; jap Har Har kilvikh nassey.”

O Saints the pool of Ramdas (i.e the pool of Raam de daas – Sadhsangat) is sublime; whoever bathes in it, saves his soul and his ancestry too.

“Santo Ramdas sarovar nika; jo naave so kul traave udhaar hova hai jee ka.” (rahao).

The world sings of his victory; and he obtains the desires of his mind; one who bathes here (in Sadhsangat), and meditates upon the Lord remains safe and sound.

“Jeh jeh kaar jag gaave; mann chindiarhe falh paave; sahi salamat naaye aaye; apna Prabhu dhiaaiye.”

One who bathes in the healing pool of the Saints; that humble one achieves the supreme status (avastha); he does not die, nor go into reincarnation; he meditates on the Lord.

“Sant sarovar naave; so jan param gatt paave; marey na aave jaaye; Har Har Naam dhiaaiye.”

He alone knows this Divine reflection about God; upon whom the Lord is Merciful; Baba Nanak has taken the Sanctuary of God; all his anxieties and accounts have been erased.

“Eh Brahm bichaar so jaane; jis Dyal hoye Bhagvaane; Baba Nanak Prabh sarnaaiye; sabh chinta gannat mitaiyee.”
