Raag Kanrah – Pauri no.7 Kanre Ki Vaar M.4

This pauri is expressed in the mouth of a Sikh who has been blessed to hear anhad vajay, and has Darshan of the Lord. He expresses his shukrana to the Satguru who made this possible.

As I imbibed the Guru’s Teachings, the five primal sounds (in the physical world we can make musical sounds by 5 main instruments. Wind, metal, drum, string and keyboard. Gurbani says we can be blessed to hear these 5 kinds of unstruck melodies within our minds too) resounded within me. It is my great good fortune that this unstruck melody resonates within me.

“Pache Shabad vaje matt gurmatt vadhbhagi anhad vajiya.”

I see the Lord, the Source of Bliss everywhere. It was through the Guru’s Shabad that the Lord was revealed.

“Anand mool Raam sabh dekhiya Gur Shabadi Govind gajiya.”

From the primal beginnings and throughout the ages, the Lord has one Form. Through the wisdom of the Guru’s Teachings, I meditated upon the Lord.

“Aad jugaad ves Har Eko matt gurmatr Har Prabh bhajiya.”

O Merciful Lord bless me with Your Bounty and preserve and protect the honor of Your humble servant.

“Har devho daan Dyal Prabh jann rakho Har Prabh lajiya.”

Let everyone proclaim the Glories of the Guru (Shabad), the True Guru as you meet him (the Guru), the Lord covers all your faults and deficiencies.

“Sabh dhan kaho Gur Satguru Gur Satguru jit mil Har parda kajiya.”
