Raag Gauree Pauri no 25 Gauri Ki Vaar M.4.

The central theme in Gauri Ki Vaar M.4 centres around the Satguru. It is foolish to defy the Satguru or try to harm him in any way. God rushes immediately to Protect His Saint, the Satguru.

In this pauri, Guru Ji tells us about sewa. It must be pleasing to the Guru to bring forth blessings. It must be nishkaam sewa, and it must be done whilst keeping Naam in mind.

Fruitful and rewarding is that service, which is pleasing to the Satguru’s mind; as the Satguru’s mind get pleased (with your sewa), your sins and misdeeds are erased.

“Sa sewa kitee safal hai jit Satgur ka mann manne; ja Satgur ka mann manneiya ta paap kasamal bhanne.”

The Sikhs listen intently to the Teachings imparted by the True Guru; those who surrender to the Will of the True Guru are blessed to be drenched with four fold love of the Lord.

“Updesh je ditta Satguru so sunniya Sikhi kanne; jin Satgur ka bhana maaneiya tinn charhi chavgann vanne.”

This is the unique and distinct style of the gurmukhs – listening to the Guru’s Teachings, they are drenched with love for God.

“Eh chaal niraali gurmukhi Gur dikhiya sunn mann bhinne.”
