Sawaiyee (Swaiyye) Mehle 4 ke. Bhatt Nalh Ji.

Bhatt Nalh Ji has 16 Swaiyyas in Praise of Guru Ramdas Ji. Bhatt Ji has two special poetic tunes in the Swaiyyas, namely radd and jholna.

This is Swaiyya no. 11 by Bhatt Nalh Ji. In this Swaiyya, Bhatt Ji describes how Guru Ramdas Ji was blessed and exalted by Guru Amardas Ji.

The Aĺl Powerful Guru (Guru Amardas Ji) placed his hand upon the head (of Guru Ramdas Ji); In his Grace, the kind Guru blessed by gifting the Lord’s Name (to Guru Ramdas Ji), gazing upon His Feet (Gurbani) all sins were dispelled.

“Samrath Guru sirr hath dhareyo; Gur kinni kirpa Har Naam diyo jis dekh Charan aggan hariyo.”

(Guru Ramdas Ji) meditated upon the Lord’s Name night and day, listening to His Name, which frightens away the messenger of death. (sutt bhaan literally means son of Surya (bhaan – thus Bhaan Singh), the sun devta. Dharam Raj is supposed to be the son of Surya, born from his relationship with Chaya); the Lord’s slave (bhatt ji) speaks thus, placing his  (Guru Ramdas Ji) faith in the Guru of the world (Guru Amardas Ji), he touched the Philosopher’s Stone (Guru Amardas Ji) and was transformed into a Philosopher’s Stone himself.

“Nis basar Ek samaan dhyan so Naam sunne sut bhaan dariyo; bhan dass so aas Jagatar Guru ki paras bhet parss kariyo.”

The Eternal Lord established Guru Ramdas as Satguru as the All Powerful Guru (Guru Amardas Ji), placed his hand upon the head (of Guru Ramdas Ji).

“Ramdas Guru Har Sat kiyo Samrath Guru sirr hath dhariyo.”
