Raag Sorath M.5

Gurbani tells us that God is pervading everywhere, in the very fabric of the Universe. Thus when He saves His Saints, He does not come from far, or some Seventh heaven. He is ever present, and as Guru Ji says, “Nanak ka Patshah dissay jahra.”  (Ang 397).

This Shabad and some other Shabads were written in shukrana by Guru Ji. There were four attempts to kill off the child Hargobind Ji. All attempts failed as God Himself protected the child. These Shabads in shukrana reinforce in us that we too should always be in shukrana to God as He saves us daily in many unseen ways.

The Lord Himself eradicated the evil and the world has been saved; the Supreme Lord bestowed His Grace, and exercised His Innate Nature (to save His Saints).

“Durat gavaeya Har Prabh Aape sabh sansar ubareiya; Parbrahm Prabh kirpa dhari Apna Birdh samareiya.”

The Protection of the Lord King became manifest;  in peace and bliss I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. My mind, body and being are at peace.

“Hoyee Rajey Raam ki Rakhvalee; sukh sahaj anand gunn gavho mann tann deh sukhalee.” (rahao).

My Satguru (Shabad) purifies all sinners. I have placed my trust in Him; the Lord heard Nanak’s Prayer, and He has extended His Grace upon everything.

“Patit udharan Satgur mera mohe tis ka bharvasa; baksh leh sabh Sache Sahib sunn Nanak ki ardasa.”
