Sikh history records that on 30 August 1604, Pothi Sahib was installed at Harmandar Sahib by Guru Arjun Dev Ji. The 1st ever Granthi Sahib of the Sikh Panth was the revered Baba Buddha Ji.
The first ever Hukamnama for the Sikh Panth was this amazing Shabad, a Shantt from Raag Suhi.
The Divine Hukam covers the situation with unerring accuracy.

The Shantt starts with this amazing line.

“Santa ke karaj Aap khaloyia Har kamm karavan aaya Raam.”

This is the 2nd pada of this Shantt.

The Creator has given me the Nine Treasures (Naam), wealth, and spiritual powers, and I do not lack anything; eating,  spending and enjoying (Naam), I have found peace, and the blessings of the Creator Lord continually increase.

“Nav Nidh sidh ridh dinay Karte tote na aavi Raam; khaat kharchat bilshatt sukh payaa Karte ki daat swaiyee Raam.”

His Gifts increase and can never be exhausted. I have met the Inner Knower of hearts, millions of obstacles have been removed, and pain does not come near me.

“Daat swaiyee nikhutt na jayee Amtrajamee paaiya; kote biggan sagley uth naathey dukh neh nerhey ayaa.”

There is now peace, tranquility, bliss and poise in abundance, and all my hunger has been satisfied; Nanak sings Praises of the wonderful Lord of astonishing Glory.

“Shaant sahaj anand ghanerey binsee bhukh sabayee; Nanak gunn gavhe Suami ke achraj jis vadiayee Raam.”
