Raag Bhairo M.5
Guru Ji salutes the power of Naam, and sings Praises of God.
I bow in humble worship to Him tens of thousands of times; I willingly offer my mind to Him in sacrifice; meditating upon Him, sufferings are erased; bliss wells up, and no fever (of ego or vices) is contracted.
“Namaskar Ta ko lakh baar; eh mann dijjay Ta ko vaar; simran Ta ke mittay santaap; hoye anand na viapey taap.”
Such is the Diamond, the Immaculate (Pure) Name of the Lord; chanting His Name, all works are completely perfected.
“Aiso Heera Nirmal Naam; jaas japat puran sabh kaam.” (rahao).
By His Glance (of Grace), the house of pain (miseries) is demolished; the mind holds tight to the cooling Ambrosial Naam; countless Saints worship His Feet; His Name fulfills all wishes.
“Ja ki dhrist dukh dera dhahey; Amrit Naam sheetal mann gahey; anik bhagat Ja ke Charan pujari; saggal manorath puranhari.”
In an instant, He fills the empty to the brim; in an instant, He transforms the withered into green lusciousness; in an instant, He provides a home for the homeless; in an instant, He bestows honor on the lowly (downtrodden).
“Khin me unay subhar bhareya; khin me sukay kinne hareya; khin me nithave ko dino thaan; khin me nimane ko dino maan.”
The One Lord is pervading and permeating all; one in the Sanctuary of a Perfect Guru (Shabad), recites His Name; for such a person, the Lord’s Praises are His Support; Nanak says, this is experienced by those upon He is Merciful.
“Sabh me Ek rehiya bharpura; so jaape jis Satgur Pura; Har Kirtan ta ko adhaar; kaho Nanak jis Aap Dyeiar.”
