Raag Tilang M.5

Guru Ji addresses a Mir, a Pathan nobleman, and tells him about God. In the Persian language there is no equivalent word for “mann,” or mind. They use “dil” (heart) as the center of all thought and emotion.

Guru Ji tells the Mir, think about the Benevolent Lord in your mind. (heart).

“Mira Dana dil soch.”

Enshrine love for the True Lord in your mind and body. He liberates you from all bondage.

“Mohabatey mann tann bassey Sach Shah bandi moch.” (rahao).

If you are blessed to see the Lord with your eyes, it is not possible to place a value upon such a blessing (it is priceless).

“Deednay deedar Sahib kach nahi iss ka molh.”

Always address God thus in Praise. You are the Pure Cherisher, the Great and Immeasurable Master.

“Paak Parvadigar Tu Khud Khasam Vadda Atolh.”

Pray to Him. Ask for His Help. Give me Your Help O Brave and Generous Lord. You are One and the Only Lord.

“Dasogiri deh Dilawar Tuhi Tuhi Ek.”

O Creator Lord, by Your Creative Potency, You created the world; Nanak holds tight to Your Support.

“Kartar Kudrat Karan khalak Nanak Teri Tek.”
