The mann is the despair of millions. It goes on frolics of it’s own and lands one in endless troubles. It is fickle and whimsical. It can lead you to depression or take you to heights of ecstacy.

It cannot be brought under control by any physical methods or rituals. Only Naam can penetrate deep enough within you to put the mann on the right path.

A Sikh (after taking advice from from the Guru), speaks to his mann. My mann, your origin is the Beautiful Divine Jote, recognize your true origin.

“Mann tu Jote Saroop hai apna mool pechaan”

Remember that the Lord is with You. Enshrine the Guru’s matt and enjoy the Lord’s Love.

“Mann Har ji tere na hai gurmatti rang maan”

Once you realize your Divine origin, you will recognize your Husband Lord and understand the mystery of births and deaths.

“Mool pechaney ta Saho jaaney maran jivan ki sojee hoyee”

Once you get Gur Parsad you will not love any other (besides the Lord).

“Gur Parsadi Eko jaane ta dujja bhao na hoyee”

As peace comes to you and you abide in inner joy, you shall become acceptable (to the Lord).

“Mann shaant aaye ta vaji vadayee ta hova parvaan”
