Guru Ji tells us about the blessings which flow from doing Sadhsanggat. An amazing transformation takes place.

The cripple crosses over the mountain, the fool becomes a wise man. (The crippled mind unable to solve simple issues, now is able to overcome great hurdles and the foolish one becomes enlightened); the (spiritually) blind man is now able to fathom the three worlds (the Universe) and by meeting the Guru (Shabad), one is purified.

“Pinggal parbatt paar pare khal chatur bakeeta; andhulay tribhavan sujeiya Gur bhet puneeta.”

Listen to the Glory of Sadhsanggat, the company of the holy; filth is washed away, and millions of sins are dispelled and the heart is rendered pure.

“Mahima Sadhusang ki sunho mere meeta; mail khoyi kote agg hare nirmal bhaye cheeta.” (rahao).

Such is the power of devotional worship of the Lord, than an ant (insignificant person) can defeat an elephant (strong pompous person); whoever the Lord makes as His Own is blessed with the gift of fearlessness.

“Aisi bhagat Govind ki keet hasti jeeta; jo jo kinno Aapno tis abhay daan deeta.”

The lion (aggressive nature) becomes a cat (domesticated, calm, and rids the home of vermin), the mountain (huge obstacle) is now a blade of grass (a trifle); one who struggled to earn half a penny, is now judged as wealthy (because he now has the true wealth of Naam.).

“Sing bilayee hoye gheyo trin mer dikhita; sram karte damm aadh ko te ganni dhanita.”

What Glories of Yours can I express O Lord of Infinite Excellences?; servant Nanak stands at Your Door and pleads, bless me with Naam in Your Grace.

“Kavan vadayee keh sako Beantt Gunitaa; kar kirpa mohe Naam deho Nanak Dar sarita.”
(The word sarita has been used by Bhai Gurdas Ji when he describes Dhru Bhagat arguing with his mother. “Tell me, are you a queen or a maidservant?” – “daddo lika maa puchay tu suani hai ke sarita.”)
