Guru Ji tells us if we face any problem, we should do ardas sincerely to the Guru. Guru Ji further advises what a Sikh should do daily.

When your inner self is troubled, you should address your plea to the Guru; you should renounce all your cleverness, and dedicate your mind and body to Him.

“Jee ki birtha hoye so Gur peh ardas kar; chodh sianapp saggal mann tann arap dhar.”

Worship the Feet of the Guru (Bani), and your evil mindedness shall be burnt away; join the Sadhsanggat and cross over the terrifying, difficult world ocean.

“Pujho Gur ke Pair durmatt jaaye jarr; Sadh janna ke sang bhavjal bikham tarr.”

Serve the Satguru, and henceforth you shall not die of fears; in an instant, He can shower you with inner rapture, and your empty vessel (of body and mind) shall be filled to the brim (with blessings of Naam).

“Sevho Satgur Dev aggay na marho darr; khin me kare nihaal unnay subhar bhar.”

Meditate upon the Lord and your mind shall become contented; he alone dedicates himself to the Guru’s service, unto whom the Lord has granted His Grace.

“Mann ko hoye santokh dhiaaye sada Har; so lagga Satgur sev ja ko Karam Dhur.”
