Raag Bihagara (Bihagda) M.5

This Shantt has 4 padas. This is the final pada. The 1st pada tells us about God’s Innate Nature. Whatever He does is always righteous and fair, and He dispenses perfect justice.

“Har ka Ek Achmambao dekhiya mere laal jio jo kare so dharam niayee Raam.”

The 2nd pada stresses the need to get together in Sadhsanggat and to sing His Praises using Naam.

“Aavho milho saheliyo mere laal jio Har Har Naam aradhe Raam.”

The 3rd pada tells us it is vital to conduct yourself in a loving way that you attract His Grace.

“Bhaag mastak hoye jis ke tis Gur naal saneha.”

This 4th pada tells us about the body which has been transformed into a Temple of God Worship.

I wandered about searching for Him in all ten directions, but my beloved, I found Him in the home of my inner self; the Dear Lord has fashioned the body as His Temple, O my dear beloved, and now continues to dwell there.

“Deh dis khojat ham phire mere laal jio Har paaerha ghar aaye Raam; Har mandir Har jio saajeiya mere laal jio Har tis meh rehiya samaaiye Raam.”

The Lord is pervading everywhere, He is revealed in the Guru’s Sharan; darkness is dispelled and pains are removed as the sublime essence of His Ambrosial Name trickles down.

“Sarabe sammana Aap Suami gurmukh pargatt hoeiya; mitiya andhera dukh naatha Amiyo Har Rass choeiya.”

Wherever I look the Lord is there. He is everywhere; servant Nanak says, the Satguru (Shabad) United me with the Lord, and I found the Lord in the home of my inner being.

“Jeh dekha taha Suami Parbrahm sabh thaaye; jan kahe Nanak Satgur milaieya Har payeiraha ghar aaye.”
