SGGS Angg 1406.

Sawaiyee (Swaiyye) Mehle Chauthe Ke.

Bhatt Salh Ji has 3 Swaiyye in SGGS Ji.
One Swaiyya is in Praise of Guru Amardas Ji (Ang 1396).

Bhatt Ji describes Guru Amardas Ji as a warrior wearing an armor of continuous focus on God, astride a steed of Wisdom.   (“pahar samadh snaah gyan hai aasan charihyo.”)

Guru Ji has the bow of righteousness, and fights with arrows of calm, peaceful prayer.
(“dhram dhanakh kar gehyo bhagat silhe sar ladiyo.”)

Instilling fear of the Eternal Fearless Lord, he struck the spear of the Shabad in his mind (“bhay Nirbhao Har Atal mann Shabad Gur neja gadiyo”).

He overpowered the demons of lust, anger, greed, attachment and conceit. (“kaam krodh lobh moh apatt panch doot bikhandiyo.”)

Of the noble Bhalla dynasty, Guru Amardas Ji, the son of Tejh Bhan, received blessings from the Master Nanak. (“Bhallo bhuhaal Tejo tanna nitprat Nath Nanak barr.”)

Salh the Bhatt declares, Guru Amardas Ji triumphed over all the forces in this battle. (“Gur Amardas Sach Salh) bhan teh dalh jitho eiv judh kar.”)

At Angg 1406, Bhatt Salh Ji has two Swaiyyas in Praise of Guru Ramdas Ji.

The first Swaiyya “moh malh bivas kiyo kaam geh kesh pecharhiyo” tells us how Guru Ramdas Ji conquered all evils, and has an “Atal Raj abhag dalh” – Eternal Sovereignty and an Invincible Army (of Naam).

This is the 2nd Swaiyya which is also the final Swaiyya of the 60 Swaiyyas in Praise of Guru Ramdas Ji.

This Swaiyya is addressed directly to Guru Ramdas Ji as a Satguru.

He is the True Guru (Shabad) throughout the four ages, and is verily the Transcendent Lord Himself; the angelic beings and mortals, seekers, siddhas and Sikhs have served You since the beginning of Time.

“Tu Satgur chahu jugi Aape Aap Parmeshvar; sur nar sadak sidh Sikh sevant dhuro dhur.”

From the very beginning, and throughout the ages, Your Power Supports the three worlds; You are Inaccessible, make the Vedas intelligible, and have conquered old age and death.

“Aad jugaad anaad kalaa dhari treh loah; Aggam Nigham udhran jara jammeh aroah.”

Guru Amardas has permanently blessed You as the Emancipator to ferry all on to the other shore; Salh the Poet declares, Guru Ramdas, there is none more potent to destroy sins than You, and I seek Your Sanctuary.

“Gur Amardas thirr thapiyo Pargammi Taaran Taran; agh antakk badhe na Salh Kav Gur Ramdas Teri Sharan.”
