Raag Gujri M.5

A Sikh who has been blessed with some degree of realisation, now pleads with the Lord to dwell always in his mind.

You are the Bounteous Giver to all, please dwell in my mind; that heart within which Your Lotus Feet (Bani) are enshrined, suffers no darkness (of ignorance) or doubts.

“Tu Data jiaa sabna ka basho mere mann mahi; Charan Kamal ridh mahe samahe teh bharam andhera nahi.”

Lord, wherever I remember You, I find You there; give me Your Grace O Cherisher of all, that I may sing Your Praises forever.

“Thakur ja simra Tu tahee; kar kirpa Sarab Pritpalak Prabh ko sada salahee.” (rahao)

With each and every breath may I contemplate Your Name O Lord, I long for You alone; Nanak says, the Support of the Creator Lord has been enshrined in my mind and I have renounced all other hopes.

“Saas saas Tera Naam samarho Tum hi ko Prabh aahi; Nanak tek bheyi Karte ki hor aas bidhani laahi.”
