A Sikh whose karmic bondages have been forgiven sings Praises of God in gratitude.

Everything happens in His Will, what other wisdom is there to know?; the errant child has been forgiven by the Supreme Lord God.

“Aage hi te sabh kich hova avar ke jaane gyaana; bhul chuk Apna barak bakshya Parbrahm Bhagvana.”

My True Guru (Shabad) is always Merciful. He has saved me, the lowly one; He has cut my disease, and I have obtained the greatest peace as He placed Ambrosial Naam in my mouth (to recite).

“Satgur mera sada Dyala mohe deen ko raakh liya; katiya rogh maha sukh paaya Har Amrit mukh Naam diya.” (rahao).

He threw away my countless sins, cut away my bonds and liberated me; the Guru took me by the arm and pulled me out of the terrible dark pit (of ignorance, miseries).

“Anik paap mere parhreyia bandhan katey mukat bhaye; andh koop maha ghor te baha pakad Gur kadh liye.”

The Savior Lord has saved me and I have become fearless, and all my worries have vanished; such is the Boon You have given me O my Lord, that all my affairs have been resolved.

“Nirbhao bhaye saggal bhao mitiya rakhe Rakhanhare; aisi Daat Teri Prabh mere karaj saggal savare.”

I have met the Lord, the Treasure of all Excellences in my mind; Nanak has taken His Sanctuary and is at peace.

“Gunn Nidhan Sahib mann mela; Sharan bheya Nanak suhela.”
