Raag Bhairo M.5.
A Sikh sings Praises of the Satguru/God. His prayers have been answered, and all his affairs have been resolved.
The True Guru (Shabad) listened to my prayer; all my affairs have been resolved; I meditated upon the Lord deep within my mind and body; the Perfect Guru (Shabad) dispelled all my fears.
“Satgur apne sunni ardas; karaj aaya saglaa raas; mann tann antar Prabhu dhiaayah; Gur Puray darr saggal chukaiya.”
The All Powerful Divine Guru is the Greatest of all; all comforts are obtained by serving Him.
“Sabh te vadh samrath Gurdev; sabh sukh payee Tis ki sev.” (rahao).
Everything is done by Him; no one can erase His Eternal Decree; the Supreme Lord God is incomparably beautiful; the Guru is the Embodiment of Fulfillment, the Very Image of the Lord.
“Ja ka kiya sabh kich hoye; Tis ka amar na metay koye; Parbrahm Parmesar Anoop; saffal murat Gur Tis ka roop.”
In whomsoever abides the Name of the Lord; whatever he sees, he does so with Godly Wisdom; the mind of that humble being is totally enlightened and illuminated; in whom the Supreme Lord abides.
“Ja ke antar basse Har Naam; jo jo pekhay so Brahm Gyan; bees bisoye ja ke mann pargaas; tis jann ke Parbrahm ka nivaas.”
I humbly bow to that Guru forever; and am a sacrifice to that Guru; I wash the Feet of the Guru and drink in this Water; chanting and meditating forever on Guru Nanak, I live.
“Tis Gur ko sadh kari namaskar; Tis Gur ko sadh jao balihar; Satgur ke Charan dhoye dhoye peeva; Gur Nanak japp japp sadh jeeva.”
