A Sikh has been blessed with Naam. He finds Naam so sweet and sings Praises of Guru Ji/God.

O mother, the Guru’s Feet (Gurbani) are so sweet; I was blessed to receive them from the Lord in my great good fortune. Millions of fruits (rewards, boons) are received from the Blessed Vision of the Guru’s Darshan.

“Mayee Charan Gur mithay; vadde bhag devay Parmeswar kote falla Darshan Gur dithay.” (rahao).

Singing the Glorious Praises of the Imperishable, Indestructible Lord, lust, anger, and stubborn pride vanish; those who are drenched with love for the True Lord become eternal, and birth and death do not grind them down anymore.

“Gunn gaavat Achut Abhinasi kaam krodh binday madh dhithe; asthir bhaye Sach rang raate janam maran bahur nahi pithe.”

The kind Saints (Guru) know that without the Lord’s meditation, all joys and pleasures are fleeting and false; servant Nanak has been blessed with the Jewel of Naam. Those without Naam depart cheated, and are plundered (by the messengers of death and miseries).

“Bin Har bhajan rang rass jetey Sant Dyaal jaane sabh jhuthe; Naam rattan paiyo jann Nanak Naam bihun chale sabh muthe.”
