Raag Gauree (Gauri) M.5

When Gur Parsad happens. A Sikh describes the fascinating transformation which takes place, and the priceless blessings which flow with the Grace of the Guru.

The withered ones are made green and lush in an instant; His Ambrosial Glance irrigates and revives them; the Perfect Divine Guru has removed all my sorrows (obstacles); He has blessed His servant with His service.

“Sukay harey kiye khin mahe; Amrit Dhrisht sanch jiwaaiye; kaate kashtt Puray Gurdev; sewak ko dinni Aapni sev.” (rahao).

Anxieties have been removed, and all desires of the mind are fulfilled; the True Guru, the Treasure of Excellence, has bestowed His Mercy.

“Mitt gaye chintt punni mann aasa; kari Dya Satgur Guntaasa.”

Pains have run away, and peace has seeped lovingly in it’s place; there is no delay when the Guru issues His Command.

“Dukh naathe sukh aaye samaaiye; dhiil na kari ja Gur Furmaaiye.”

Desires are fulfilled when one Unites with the True Guru (Shabad); Nanak says, such a humble servant flourishes and prospers.

“Ichh punni Puray Gur millay; Nanak te jann suffal fallhe.”
