Raag Sorath M.5

A Shabad which describes the total emancipation of a Sikh.

The Sikh is described by Guru Ji as “lahora” i.e. small child. Bhagat Kabir Ji uses the word “lahori” to describe the younger Perfected jeev isteri, and describes the older isteri as vaddi in “Kaho Kabir jab lahori aayi baddi ka suhaag tareyo” (Ang 483).

The child is created by the Lord who Himself Cleanses/Perfects; the young child was saved by the Guru (Shabad); the mother (matt) and father (santokh) are pleased; God provides for the souls.

“Parbrahm Saaj Saweriya; Eh lahora Guru ubareya; Anand karo Pit Mata; Parmeshar Jee ka Dataa”

All humble ones of the Lord, wish well for others; He Preserves the honor of His servants and resolves all their affairs, Himself

“Subh chitwan daas Tumare; rakhe paij daas Apne ki Karaj Aap Saware.”
(Rahao).

My Lord is so Benevolent; His Almighty Power is Manifest; Nanak has taken His Sanctuary; And obtained the fruits of his mind’s desires.

“Mera Prabh Parupkari; Puran Kal jin dharee; Nanak Sharni Aaya; Mann chindiya falh paaiya”

The Lord Resides within all of us. When our problems are overcome, it means He overcame them for you, Seated within you.
