Guru Ji looks at a wasted life. No attempt is made by the mortal to rise spiritually, and to Unite with God within himself.

Such a life is a sheer waste and Guru Ji says his eating is accursed, his sleep is accursed, and accursed is his wearing of clothes; One who does not seek his Lord and Master in this life, equally accursed is his body and such an accursed state seeps over to his family and friends.

“Dhrig dhrig khaiya dhrig dhrig soeya dhrig dhrig kaparh angg charaiya; dhrig sareer kutamb sahet seyo jit hun Khasam na paaiya”

When one misses the rung of the spiritual ladder, such a rare chance (of this human life) is lost and his life is wasted.

“Pauri chutki fir haath na aave ahila janam gavaiya”

The love of duality (maya) does not allow his focus on the Lord, and he forgets the Feet of the Lord (Bani, Naam); O Lord of the World, you eradicate the pains of your humble servants.

“Dujja bhao na deyi liv laagan jin Har Ke Charan vissarey; Jagjiwan Dataa Jan Sewak Tere tin ke Teh dukh nivaarey.”
