This Vaar by Guru Amardas Ji has 22 pauris. The 47 Sloks were inserted by Guru Arjun Dev Ji.
The main body of the Vaar is contained in the pauris.
The Vaar is divided into 2 main sections.
First section is from pauris 1 till pauri 10. The Signature “Nanak” is found in pauri no. 10, thus indicating the closure of a section with one main theme.
From pauri no. 11 till 20 the second major theme is developed. This second theme ends at pauri 20, where the Signature “Nanak” appears.

Pauris 21 and 22 are by way of summary and conclusion of both themes. Pauris no. 21 and 22 carry the Signature “Nanak.”

The sanggat can trace the essence of both themes from pauris 1 to 10 and from pauris 11 to 20.
