Shabad Veechar of Raag Assa SGGS Ang 363-368 followed by simran on Sunday, 2nd July 2023 at Damansar Darbar.

Shabad Vichaar was from Angg 363, Shabad no 48, which begins with the line,
” Bhagat ratta jann sahaj subhai.”

With Guru Ji’s kirpa, we discussed Guru Ramdas Ji’s Shabad at Angg 366.

Guru Ji declares his tek upon One Nirankar Ji. Guru Ji uses the word “dharha” to mean support, reliance, or alliance.

The world relies upon friends, children and siblings. Some forge alliances with in laws and relatives. Some depend on their friendship with chiefs and leaders for their own selfish motives. In contrast, Guru Ji says my reliance is only upon the All Pervading Lord.
“Hamra dharha Har rehiya samaaiye.”

In the Rahao, Guru Ji stresses his dharha and tek is only upon God. Guru Ji also declares, besides the Lord, I have no other faction or alliance, and I sing the countless Praises of the Lord.
“Ham Har seyo dharha kiya meri Har tek; mai Har bin pakh dharha avar na koyi hao Har Gunn gaavha asankh anek.”( rahao).

In pada 2 Guru Ji explains that all other dharhas besides the Lord shall perish and do not last. Guru Ji says I have forged a dharha with the Lord; there is none as Powerful as Him.

In pada 3, Guru Ji says all these worldly alliances and reliances are mere extensions of the love for maya. Such dharhas lead to disputes and results in the cycle of births and deaths. My dhara, Guru Ji says, resolves all issues in this world, and the next too.
“Hamra Har dharha je halatt palatt sabh sawaree.”

In pada 4, Guru Ji says these worldly alliances instigate conflicts and increase the 5 evil passions of kaam, krodh, lobh, moh and ahangkar.
As the Lord Grants His Mercy, He leads one to satsanggat. In satsanggat Naam is stressed, and the dharha of God, destroys all worldly reliances.
“Hamra Har dharha jinn eh dharhe sabh gavaayhe.”

In the final pada, Guru Ji says people form alliances in the love of materialism. In such alliances the tendency is to gossip about the faults of others, while increasing their own self conceit. They shall all harvest whatever they planted. (ie, they will have to give lekhas). Guru Ji concludes by saying that the dharha of the House of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is based on Divine Righteousness and conquers the entire world.
“Jann Nanak ka Har dharha Dharam sabh shrist jinn aavhe.”
