Raag Gauree (Gauri) M.5

Guru Ji tells us about the Awesome, Infinite Powers of God. Address your prayers to God through your Satguru. The Satguru will resolve all your affairs.

Kings and emperors are under His sway; the entire world is under His Power; everything is done by His Will; none is exempt from His Power.

“Ja ke vass khan sultaan; ja ke vass hai saggal jahaan; ja ka keeya sabh kich hoye; Tis te bahar nahi koye.”

Offer your prayers to your True Guru; He will resolve your affairs.

“Kaho benanti apne Satgur paahe; kaaj tumare deh nibaahe.” (rahao).

His Court is the most exalted of all; His Name is the Support of all His Saints; the Perfect Master is pervading everywhere; His Glory is inherent in every heart. (my translation differs).

“Sabh te uchh Ta ka Darbaar; saggal bhagat ja ka Naam adhaar; sarab biaapak Puran Dhani; ja ki sobha ghat ghat banni.”

Remembering Him in meditation, the house of sorrow is demolished; remembering Him, the messenger of death (miseries) cannot touch you; remembering Him, the withered become green and fresh again; remembering Him, even stones (stone hearted ones) can float. (over the world ocean).

“Jis simrat dukh dera dhahe; jis simrat jamm kichu na kahe; jis simrat hote sukay harey; jis simrat dubatt pahan tarey.”

I always salute and applaud the Society of Saints; the Name of the Lord is the Support of these humble servants (of God); Nanak says, the Lord has listened to my prayer  by the Grace of the Saint (Guru), I now abide in the Naam (Attributes) of the Lord.

“Sant Sabha ko sada jaikaar; Har Har Naam jann pran adhaar; kaho Nanak meri sunni ardaas; Sant Parsad mo ko Naam nivaas.”
