Raag Bilaaval (Bilawal) M.5.
A Sikh in utter humility repeatedly pleads for His Grace.
A sewak of God pleads. Please do not ever forget me O Lord.
“Apne sewak ko kabho na bisaaro.”
Please hold me close in Your embrace; please consider the love I have had for You all this while.
“Urr lagho Suami Prabh mere purab preet Gobind bicharo” (rahao)
It is Your innate nature to purify sinners; please do not keep my many errors in Your Heart.
“Patit Paavan Prabh birdh tumaro hamre dokh riday mat dharo.”
You are my very life, my breath, my wealth and peace; please burn away the curtain of my ego.
“Jiwan pran Har dhan sukh tum hi haumai pattal kirpa kar jaaro.”
How can a baby survive without milk; how can a fish survive without water.
“Jal bhoon meen kat jeevan doodh bina rehan kat baro”
Servant Nanak thirsts for Your Lotus Feet (Bani), As I gaze upon Your Blessed Darshan I get the essence of all peace.
“Jan Nanak pyaas Charan Kamlan ki pekh Daras Suami sukh saro.”
