Bhai Manjeet Singh Ji shared briefly some aspects of Kirtan Chaunkis and other Chaunkis on Monday 13 February, 2023 at GS Parliament.
The reet of singing and reading Pauri no. 18, Ramkali Ki Vaar M.5 (Ang 965) — “Vaddi hu Vadda Apaar Tera Martaba” — is at the conclusion of Kirtan Chaunkis.
At Harimandar Sahib, there are four main chaunkis (platform or kirtan sessions). Kirtan starts at 2.30am to 9.45pm at Harimandar Sahib. The four are: Asa Ki Vaar di Chaunki; (prior to that is the Prem Ki Chaunki), Charan Kamal or Bilaaval Ki Chaunki before noon; Rehras di Chaunki and Kaliaan di Chaunki.
