Raag Gauree (Gauri) Bhagat Ravidas Ji.

Bhagat Ji describes Begumpura, i.e. Begumm Pura the City without gumm, without any sorrows. It is a description of Sachkhand in our Daswa Dwar.

Bhagat Ji says Begumpura, the City without sorrows, is the Name of that Town.

“Begumpura Shaher ko Naoo.”

There is no suffering or anxiety There.

“Dukh andoh nahi teh Thaoo.”

There are no troubles, nor taxes on commodities There; there is no fear, blemish nor downfall (loss), There.

“Na tasvees khiraj na maal; khauff na khata na taras jawaal.”

I have found this most Excellent City; O brothers, there is lasting Peace and Safety There.

“Ab mohe khoob vattan geh payee; uhaa khair sada mere bhai.” (rahao).

The Sovereignty of that Kingdom is Steady, Stable and Eternal; there is no second or third status; all are Equal There.

“Kayem Dayem sada Patsahi; domh na semh Ek so ahee.”

That City is eternally Flourishing and Famous; those who live There are Wealthy and Contended.

“Abadaan sada mashoor; uhaa Gani bassey Mamoor.”

They stroll about freely just as they please; they know the Mysteries of the Palace and no one blocks their way.

“Tio tio sail kare jio bhave; mehram Mahal na ko atkaavhe.”

Ravidas, the Emancipated cobbler says; whoever is a Citizen There, is a Friend of mine.

“Kahe Ravidas Khalass Chamara; jo Ham Shaheri so Meet Hamara.”
