Sri Raag – Ang 83-86 @Damansara

Guru Nanak Dev Ji  in the first Shabad of Sri Raag SGGS Ang 83-86 says that having pride in your status is useless unless you are honored in God’s court. Guru Amardas Ji in other Shabads in this series talks about the attractiveness of maya, which is short-lived but love for God stays. In the subsequent pauree, Guru Ji adds that sustenance for all is provided by God. In other Shabads and pauree, Guru Ji says with Naam in your mind, serve God and you will begin to accept His will and slowly merge into Him with His grace. In the subsequent pauree, Guru Ji tells us to acknowledge His sovereignty and use our allotted time in this world wisely.
