The first Shabad in this series of Raag Gauree SGGS Ang 203-209 is a plea in bairaag, a stage when you are detached from the world and united with God, where the avasta is very high. In other Shabads, Guru Ji says anyone who is blessed, sing God’s praises. Guru Ji says that we must encourage our inner self to do simran and our yearning for Guru-God’s darshan must be very intense. To reach the sahej avasta we must make a lot of effort and God has given SatGuru Ji the key so we must recite Naam, go to satsangat, do sewa, simran and be in equipoise. We must rid ourselves of fear, it just creates karma. If you have fear, you cling on to the world.
