Raag Maroo M.5 – Pauri no. 21 from Maru Ki Vaar M.5.

We are all children of God and He cherishes all of us. A Sikh who has been blessed with Merger, sings Praises of the Lord.

The Dear Lord is my Mother and Father, and He nurtures me; He takes care of my needs. I am His child.

“Har ji Mata Har ji Pita Har jio Pritpalak; Har ji meri saar kare ham Har ke balak.”

Patiently and steadily He feeds me and never fails me; He does not harbor grudges against my faults. He hugs me close in His Embrace.

“Sahajey sahaj khilaeda nahi karda aalak; auggan ko na chitarda galh seti laiyek.”

Whatever I ask for, He gives me, the Lord is my Peace Giving Father; He has blessed me with the Capital of Naam Wisdom, and He made me worthy of this Merchandise.

“Muh mangga soyee devda Har Pita Sukhdayik; Gyaan Raas Naam Dhan sampiyon eis sauday layik.”

He has made me a Partner with the Guru, and I have obtained all peace and comfort; He is with me, and will never separate from me again. My Lord Father is All Capable.

“Sanjee Gur naal bahaliya sarab sukh paayik; mai nalo kade na vichray Har Pita sabna gallan laayik.”

In the physical world we all have a father and mother. They should be given utmost respect.

On a subtle level, our True Parent is God Himself, who as One, is Both Father and Mother to all.

This is this Divine Parent who loving cherishes and provides (Pritpalak) for all of us.

As you Turn to Him for help, He lovingly helps you, and never fails you (nahi karda aalak).
