Jor na suratti gyan vichaar – Ang 7

SGGS Ang 7

In Japji Sahib, Pauri no. 33, Guru Ji says all Power rests in His Hands. We do not even have the Power to put a Shabad in our suratt and reflect upon it.

“Jor na suratti gyan vichaar.”

Thus Gurbani stresses the need fir us to plead with Him for His Grace in all aspects of our life.

ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਗਿਆਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
ਆਤਮਾਕ ਜਾਗ ਵਿਚ,ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
No power to gain intuitive understanding, spiritual wisdom and meditation.
