SGGS Angg 1299.
Raag Kanrah M.5.
When realization dawns upon you with Gur Parsad.
The Sikh now says I have forgotten all jealousy of others.
“Bissar gayee sabh taat prayee.”
But this happened only when I merged into sadhsangat.
“Jab te sadhsangat mohe payee” (Rahao).
Now I see no one as my enemy nor a stranger. I am at peace with all.
“Na ko beri nahi biggana sagal sang ham ko ban aayi”
I now accept all His doings as good. This wisdom I received from the Guru.
“Jo Prabh kino so bhal maaniyo eh sumatt Sadhu re payee”
I now see He is pervading all. Gazing upon this I blossom forth in joy.
“Sabh me rev rehiya Prabh Ekay pekh pekh Nanak bigsayee”
What a wonderful avastha.
The sakhi about Bhai Kanahiya Ji says that the Sikhs complained to Guru Gobind Singh Ji about Bhai Kanahiya giving water to wounded enemy soldiers.
After praising Bhai Kanahiya Ji, Guru Ji explained to the soldiers quoting this Shabad. That Bhai Ji had reached this wonderful avastha and he saw no enemies. Only wounded men who needed help.

Bhai Ji added on June 19, 2026:
Jealousy/envy is called Taat Prayee in Gurbani. It is a very toxic habit.
Guru Ji says, anyone who has Taat Prayee in him, nothing good ever comes his way.
“Jis Andar Taat Prayee Hovay Tis Da Kadhe Na Hovi Bhala” (Ang 308).
As it is an inner, unseen trait, how do you remove it ? Eradication of Taat Prayee is a slow process. As you do Sadhsanggat, slowly realisation sets in that it is a destructive trait. Taat Prayee slowly vanishes, and you now wish well of all others ” Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala.”
Recognising the Power of Sadhsanggat in the removal of Taat Prayee, Guru Ji says,
“Bissar Gayee Sabh Taat Prayee Jab Te Sadhsanggat Mohe Payee.”
One whose heart is filled with jealousy of others, never comes to any good.
