Raag Jaithshree – Pauri no.7 from Jaitsri Ki Vaar M.5

Guru Ji tells us about the humble servant who truly loves God. He may live in abject poverty and face troubles at every turn, but his love for God elevates to such Majestic heights.

He may live in a broken down shack and wear tattered clothes; he may have no social status, receive no honor or dignity in the world and wanders in the wilderness; with no friend nor lover, has no beauty nor any relatives nor companions.

“Basta tutti chumprhi chirh sabh shinna; jaat na patt na aadhro udhiyan bhramina; mittar na eith dhan roopheen kich saak na sinna.”

(Yet, such a one) is truly King of the world, if his mind is drenched with the Lord’s Name; the dust of his feet elevates the mind, because the Lord is Pleased with him.

“Raja saggli shristt ka Har Naam mann bhinna; tis ki dhurh mann udhre Prabh hoye soprasanna.”

Bhai Ji added on February 14, 2025:

In the eyes of the world he may be seen as living in poverty, in a broken shack, and receive no respect in the world.

However, if such a one is drenched with Naam, in the Guru’s Eyes, he is a King of the entire world.

“Raja sagli shrist ka Har Naam mann bhinna.”

No matter how difficult life is, we should strive to drench ourselves with Naam. That is what really counts here, and hereafter.
