Raag Assa M.5.

A Sikh muses. I often hear of the Value of Naam. Gurbani says Naam is Priceless. He now asks. What are they like (what is their nature), those who never forsake Naam?”

“Jinna na vissre Naam se kinehiya.”

The Guru replies. There is no difference between such Sikhs and the Lord. (as they Merge into the Lord and become His very Image).

“Bhedh na jaanho mool Sain jehiya.”

Such Sikhs in utter humility, declare “Lord, my mind and soul are enraptured by being Absorbed into You; with the Grace of the Guru, as Your humble servants, we have obtained Peace, and all our pains have been removed.

“Mann tann hoye nihal Tum sang bhetiya; sukh paaiya jan Parsad dukh sabh metiya.” (rahao).

In their company, all continents and solar systems can be saved; in their minds, the Lord Himself manifests. Such are His Perfect Saints.

“Jete khand brahmand udare tin khe; jin mann vutha Aap Puray Bhagat se.”

Lord, only those You Approve can be counted thus; such a distinguished and honored person is known everywhere.

“Jis nu manne Aap soyi maaniye; pargat purakh parvan sabh thaayi jaaniye.”

Lord, may I lovingly remember You day and night, with every breath; O Supreme King, please fulfill this desire of Nanak.

“Dinnas rain aradh samaale sah sah; Nanak ki locha purh Sache Patshah.”

A Sikh says Guru Ji, You stress so much about Naam. What would be the blessed state of those who do not ever forget Naam?

“Jinna na visre Naam se kinehiya.”

Guru Ji replies. Know that there remains no difference between them and the Lord. (They become the very Image of God).
“Bhedh na jaano mool Sain jehiya.”

Such blessed ones say, Lord, my body and mind gets enraptured upon Meeting You.
“Mann tann hoye nihal Tum sang bhetiya.”

I have obtained peace from the humble servant (Guru) and all my pains have been removed.
“Sukh paiya jan parsad dukh sabh metiya.”
