In our daily ardas we pray “tere bhaney Sarbat da bhalla.” In a similar vein, in this short Slok a Sikh addresses God.
Lord, in Your Mercy, You care for all beings and creatures.

“Sabhe jee samaal apni mehar kar.”

You produce corn and water in abundance; You eliminate pain and poverty, and carry all beings across.

“Ann pani much upaaye dukh daladh bhann tarr.”

As the Benevolent Lord listens to prayer, He cools and comforts the world.

“Ardas suni Dataar hoyee sisst tharr.”

He takes you into His Embrace and takes away all pain.

“Levho kanth lagaaye apdaa sabh harr.”

Nanak meditates on Naam; the House of the Lord is Fruitful and Prosperous.

“Nanak Naam dhiaaye Prabh ka safall ghar.”

A Sikh Sings Praises of God.

Lord, in Your Grace, You shower care upon all beings and creatures. You produce corn and water in abundance, and eliminate pain and poverty.

“Sabhe jee samaal Apni Mehar Kar; Ann paani moch upaaiye dukh daladh bhann kar.”

In response to prayer, You cool and comfort the world. You take away all pain and embrace Your creation.

“Ardas sunni Dataar hoyi sissat tharh; levho kanth lagaaiye apdha sabh harh.”

Nanak meditates upon Naam of the Lord, whose House is Fruitful and Prosperous.

“Nanak Naam dhiaiye Prabh ka safalh ghar.”
