We pray daily for Gur Parsad, and to be gifted with Naam. Many pray daily and recite the Lord’s Name with love, engage in His sewa and conduct themselves in the Truth.
Some rare one gets Gifted with His Name. (Attributes). In this Shabad, a Sikh who has been blessed with Naam, relates his experiences.

O mother, I have received the Wealth of the Lord’s Name; (as a result), my mind has stopped its wanderings, and now sits in joyous peace and rest.

“Maee mai dhan payho Har Naam; mann mero dhavan te chutiyo kar baitho bisraam.” (rahao).

Attachment to maya has fled from my body, and immaculate spiritual wisdom has welled up in me; greed and attachments cannot touch me, and I hold tight to the devotional worship of the Lord.

“Maya mamta tann te bhagee upjiyo nirmal gyan; lobh moh eh parass na sakey gahee bhagat Bhagvaan.”

The restlessness of countless lifetimes has been eradicated since I obtained the Jewel of the Lord’s Name; my mind has been rid of all burning desires and I am absorbed in the peace of my inner being.

“Janam janam ka sansa chukaa Ratan Naam jab payaa; trisna sakall binasee mann te nijh sukh mahe samayaa.”

Unto whom the Compassionate Lord showers His Mercy, that person sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord; Nanak says, such wonderful Wealth is obtained by a rare Gurmukh.

“Ja ko hote Dyaal Kirpa Nidh so Gobind gunn gaavhe; kaho Nanak eh bidh ji sampeh kouu gurmukh paavhe.”‎
