Raag Bhairo – Bhagat Kabir Ji.
Kabir Ji tells us about how the world treats poor and rich people.
No one respects the poor man; he may make thousands of efforts, but no one pays any attention to him. (no one takes him seriously).
“Nirdhan aadar koyee na deh; lakh jattan kare oh chit na dhareh.” (rahao).
When the poor man goes to the rich man; though he may sit in front of him, the rich man turns his back on the poor one.
“Jao nirdhan sardhan ke jayeh; aagey baitha peeth firayeh.”
But, when the rich man goes to the poor man; the poor man welcomes him with respect.
“Jao sardhan nirdhan ke jayeh; deeya aadar leeya bulayeh.”
The poor man and the rich man are brothers (“Ek Pita Ekass ke ham barak….”- Ang 611); God’s Play cannot be erased (i.e. it is up to Him who will be rich or poor).
“Nirdhan sardhan dono bhai; Prabh ki kalaa na metee jayee.”
Kabir says, he alone is poor; who does not have Naam in his heart.
“Kahe Kabir nirdhan hai soyee; ja ke hirday Naam na hoyee.”
