Raag Jaithshree – Pauri no 8 – Jaitsri Ki Vaar M.5.
Guru Ji tells us about the passion with which the Saints love God.
Just like a fish cannot live without water; without raindrops the thirst of the chatrik cannot be quenched.
“Jio machulee bin paaniye kyo jiwan paave; boond vihunaa chatriko kyo kar triptaave”
The deer entranced by the sound of the hunter’s bell runs straight at him; bumble bee pulled by the flower’s fragrance, traps himself in it. (Hunters use the kandahar raag which is emitted from the tinkling of bells. The tinkling so mesmerises the deer, that it finds itself pulled towards the sound. As for the bumble bee, in its search for fragrant pollen, it gets so engrossed in the lotus, that when its petals close at dusk, the bee gets trapped inside).
Just so, the humble Saints love the Lord; beholding His Blessed Vision, they are enraptured and satiated.
“Tio sant janna Har preet hai dekh daras aghaave.”
